Stafford Campus Recycling

Central collection containers are available the Stafford campus buildings for collection of Mixed Paper and Co-mingled Glass, Alumium and Plastic. Faculty, staff and students are responsible for placing recyclables into central collection containers on each floor.

Central collection recycling containers are blue and are designated for Mixed Paper and Co-mingled Plastic, Aluminum and Glass.

Stafford Campus recycing is collected by volunteers from the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board’s non-profit agency the Rappahannock Adult Activities, Inc. (RAAI). RAAI is a community-based developmental day program that promotes independence, individualization, and productivity of people with mental retardation in their community. The Stafford Campus is the first UMW building to meet LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) standards! LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system.
